How to create a product video from photos
Last updated:
A stronger product video usually starts before the prompt: with clear reference photos and a short list of details the model must preserve.
1. Choose the reference set
Start with one sharp front or three-quarter photo. Add a packaging angle, a label close-up, or a texture detail if those features matter. Avoid blur, extreme filters, cluttered backgrounds, and images with unrelated text.
Use only images you own or have permission to use. The public product is designed for objects, not people.
2. State the invariants
Tell the model what must stay consistent: shape, label spelling, material, colour, proportions, and packaging components. Then describe the desired motion and scene. A short list of invariants is usually more useful than a long list of adjectives.
3. Choose format and aspect ratio
Product Reveal is a controlled hero shot. Studio Story adds a sequence. Launch Ad uses a faster rhythm. Detail Macro focuses on texture and finish. Before / After changes the scene, not the product. Gift Edit places the object in a seasonal setting.
Choose 9:16 for vertical social, 16:9 for product pages or YouTube, and 1:1 for feed or marketplace placements.
4. Review before publishing
Check the product geometry, label text, colour, claims, and scene. Confirm the AI label remains visible or that your publication clearly discloses AI generation. Do not use the output to imply a celebrity or brand endorsement.
Make the product the hero.
